This is a one of a kind dive bar that stands out in the Montrose-Westheimer area. The alcohol is reasonably priced, they have some really awesome old school pins in the restroom and addicting pinball machines.
The decor is funky, there's pinball, and the drinks range from cheap Lone Star and High Life to a superb bourbon selection. There's also The Jones, a delicious mixture of bourbon and ginger beer. In some ways, Poison will remind you of a Brooklyn or Austin bar, which is rare in this town, and so it's nice when you're feeling nostalgic. The backyard is also pleasant and laid back and good for leaning back in a metal patio chair and having a smoke. |
